The field had some notable professional players mixed with the local Scottish players and the IPNpoker qualifiers. When we got down to the final 10 players IPNpoker still had 3 players left. All three were guaranteed a payday the question was how much and how high could they go. Out first in 10th Place was Danish playerJohnny “Dahl-kanal” Dahl taking home £1,000 for his effort. Next to go out was the strong Yorkshireman Mark “simo06” Simpson, he collected £2,060. With 8 players left and blinds increasing their was a real battle taking place especially with the young guns of Rory Mathews and Jules Adamson taking on the very experienced Steve Jelinek. Right in the middle of these battles was the quiet but very experienced IPNpoker player from Finland Mika “Muppet III” Paasonen. He was steadily moving up the positions as other players were eliminated. Finally he was taken out in 6th place but received a handsome £5,150 ($10,000) for his troubles. Rory Mathews went on to win the title but all in all it was a great event and the IPNpoker players put in some great performances throughout the two day event. Here are the final ten positions: Place | Name | Prize | 1st | Rory Matthews | £23,960 | 2nd | Steve Jelinek | £23,960 | 3rd | Dave Masters | £23,960 | 4th | Julian Adamson | £9,530 | 5th | Duncan Meekison | £7,210 | 6th | Mika “Muppet III” Paasonen | £5,150 | 7th | Bob Cummings | £3,610 | 8th | Alexandre Drocourt | £2,580 | 9th | Mark “simo06” Simpson | £2,060 | 10th | Johnny “Dahl-kanal” Dahl | £1,000 |
