Players such as Doyle Brunson, Chris Moneymaker, Greg 'Fossilman' Raymer and Howard Lederer are now household names among many students. Texas Hold 'Em is the most popular of poker games among today's students. Groups of six-eight people will congregate at a friend's house and play all night, often losing or winning hundreds of dollars. The average buy-in to a game is usually $5, but some games have buy-ins of $50 or more. |
