International Poker Network Deals Over 1 Billion Hands

December 3, 2008

Over the last 3 weeks the INTERNATIONAL POKER NETWORK has been running a promotion celebrating dealing over 1 Billion Hands; culminating in our 1,111,111,111 Hand. The winner of this hand walked away with €1,111 while everyone else in the table received €111. On top of the instant cash prizes for the players, they were each awarded entry into our exclusive 1,111,111,111 Freeroll.

In the 1,111,111,111 Freeroll we gave away €12,500 in prize money, to let all the players involved in the 1,111,111,111 Hand Promotion to battle it out for the €5,000 First Prize.

The winner of the 1,111,111,111th hand was H@mmerHe@d; who happily pocketed €1,111 as well as the pot for the hand in question, all the other players in the hand won €111 even if they folded their cards!!!

The 1,111,111,111 Freeroll ran on the 8th of June with 120 players battling it out for the €12,500 Prizepool. After just over 3 hours of play the field had been reduced from 120 players down to the final table. At the beginning of the final table, the chip leader was “new_era” who continued to accrue chips through-out the final table, until he ultimately won the tournament, by beating “grzala_PL” on the last hand. “grzala_PL” made a bold final move, by pushing all his chips in to play pre-flop when he was dealt pocket 4s. After a moments thinking time, “new_era” called the bet with A7 (two over-cards). This coin-flip scenario favoured new_era; who at this stage had a sizeable chip-lead. The flop came 2 7 5; putting “new_era” ahead; and with no 4s on the turn or river, “new_era” won the hand, and the tournament, taking home €5,000 for his first place win.
